Updated 7 November 2026: one week before release! The Pokemon TCG 30th Celebration Ultra Premium Collection (UPC) lands in Australia this Friday, 13 November 2026. As of this update, every major retailer we track except Big W has already sold through its online pre-order allocation: Kmart, Target, EB Games, JB Hi-Fi and Toymate are all sold out online. Big W has not opened an online pre-order at all, and unconfirmed reports suggest it may not sell the UPC online this time, pushing its entire allocation to in-store release instead. Separately, we're getting reports that some Myer stores around Australia have already received physical UPC stock ahead of the official date, and Myer has jumped the gun on 30th Celebration stock before, so there's a real chance a handful of stores quietly put it out before Friday. This is realistically the single biggest, highest-demand sealed product release of the year for Australian Pokemon collectors, and in-store stock at the major retailers is going to be extremely thin relative to demand. Expect queues that are far longer than the number of boxes on hand, and expect the earliest arrivals (well before store opening) to have the only real shot. Read on for the full breakdown.
What is the 30th Celebration Ultra Premium Collection?
The Ultra Premium Collection is the flagship sealed product of the Pokemon TCG 30th Celebration set, the biggest Pokemon TCG release of 2026 and the first expansion in the game's history with a simultaneous worldwide launch. It comes in two versions, Day and Night, assigned at random when you buy a box; you cannot choose which one you get unless a retailer explicitly sells them separately by name.
Each UPC contains:
- 29 standard 30th Celebration booster packs, each with five foil cards plus one foil Basic Energy (the entire set is foil, including the energy cards)
- 1 Classic Collection booster pack, your only guaranteed shot at the set's 30 stamped reprints from across Pokemon TCG history, including the original-art Base Set Charizard
- 1 foil Pikachu ex promo, illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN, the artist behind the set's new Futuristic Rare rarity
- 1 foil Espeon ex promo (Day version) or Umbreon ex promo (Night version)
- A playmat featuring Pikachu alongside Espeon (Day) or Umbreon (Night)
- 65 card sleeves and a deck box, themed to match your version
- A metal coin (Espeon for Day, Umbreon for Night)
- 6 damage-counter dice
- A code card for Pokemon TCG Live
At 30 total packs, it's the biggest Pokemon TCG box of the year by pack count, and the Classic Collection pack is the headline reason collectors want one: those 30 vintage reprints are among the rarest pulls in the entire set. For a full side-by-side of what's actually different between the two versions, see our dedicated Day vs Night comparison guide; the short version is that the pull odds are identical and the only differences are Espeon vs Umbreon and matching cosmetics.
Australian Release Date: Friday, 13 November 2026
The UPC was originally slated for 6 November 2026 alongside the rest of 30th Celebration's Wave 4 products, but Australian retailers pushed it back to 13 November after a supplier and distribution delay. Toymate and EB Games both confirmed the new date directly to pre-order customers, and other retailers have followed suit. If you're still seeing a listing anywhere that says 6 November, treat it as stale.
This is a separate date to the Ditto Premium Collection and Figure Collection (Mew & Mewtwo), which were delayed even further to 20 November. For the full wave-by-wave schedule across every 30th Celebration product, see our 30th Celebration pre-orders guide, or the site-wide Pokemon TCG release calendar.
Australian RRP
Expected AU RRP is around $360 AUD, confirmed when Kmart briefly opened online pre-orders at that exact price in September before bots cleared the listing within minutes. Treat $360 as the benchmark price for both the Day and Night versions; there's no price difference between them.
Not every retailer has stuck to that figure. EB Games deliberately priced its pre-orders well above standard, explaining it as an anti-scalper measure, and settled at roughly $465 AUD after backlash over its initial pricing. Specialty import sellers have listed it even higher again. If you're comparing options, $360 to $400 AUD is a fair price for this product; anything materially above that is a markup, not the real RRP.
Where to Buy the UPC in Australia: Retailer-by-Retailer Status
Here is where every major Australian retailer stands as of 7 November 2026, six days out from release.
| Retailer | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Big W | No online pre-order opened | The only major retailer yet to sell the UPC online. Unconfirmed reports suggest Big W may skip an online pre-order entirely and push its whole allocation to in-store release on 13 November, possibly weighted toward Queensland stores, similar to how the Focused Fighters Premium Collection played out on 30 October. Treat this as a rumour until Big W confirms it, but plan your release-day morning as if in-store is your only shot here. |
| Kmart | Sold out online | Briefly listed online pre-orders in September at the $360 AUD RRP, but bot traffic cleared the stock within minutes with very few genuine customers getting through. In-store stock on the day is the only remaining option, and Kmart runs no reservation system, so it's first-come, first-served. |
| Target | Sold out online | Opened online pre-orders after Kmart and sold through its full allocation by early November. No reservation system in-store. |
| EB Games | Sold out online | Pre-orders required EB World Plus and were priced well above RRP (around $465 AUD) before selling out. Collection is tied to the specific store the order was placed at. |
| JB Hi-Fi | Sold out online | Listings were pulled and relisted more than once due to technical issues and demand, and are now sold through. |
| Toymate | Sold out online | Pre-order customers were emailed about the date moving from 6 to 13 November; that allocation is already committed to existing orders, not fresh stock. |
| Myer | Early in-store stock reported | Some Myer stores have reportedly already received physical UPC stock ahead of the 13 November date. Myer has jumped the gun on 30th Celebration products before, so it's worth calling your local store this week rather than waiting for Friday specifically. Myer runs no online pre-order system for this release. |
| Pokemon Center AU | Not available | Pokemon Center AU has not made 30th Celebration products available to Australian customers at all, despite some early unconfirmed reports to the contrary. Don't plan around it. |
| Specialty retailers (Collectors Lane, Mind Games, etc.) | Some stock, above RRP | A handful of specialty and import-focused sellers have carried the UPC throughout the pre-order window, generally priced well above the $360 AUD RRP. Worth checking if you've exhausted every other option and are willing to pay a premium. |
The practical read: if you don't already have a pre-order confirmed somewhere, your options by Friday are Big W in-store (if they stock it at all), a small amount of leftover in-store allocation at Kmart, Target, EB Games, JB Hi-Fi or Toymate, an early Myer find if you're lucky, or a specialty retailer at a premium. Set up CardTracker alerts now so you're not relying on manually refreshing every retailer's site over the next week.
Why This Is the Biggest Release of the Year
30th Celebration has drawn the heaviest demand of any Pokemon TCG set this repo has tracked, and the UPC is the single most sought-after product in the whole lineup: the highest pack count, the only guaranteed Classic Collection pack, and a price point that still didn't slow anyone down when Kmart's listing went live and vanished to bots in minutes. Every pre-order window that's opened across every retailer this year has closed the same way, fast, and usually to a mix of genuine collectors and bots.
That demand doesn't go away just because pre-orders are gone. It shows up on release day as a queue that's longer than the stock on the shelf, at almost every store carrying it. Don't expect to stroll in at lunchtime on the 13th and find one waiting.

Grade with Ark →The Short Version
- If you already have a confirmed pre-order: you're set. Bring ID and your order confirmation when you collect it, and double check the collection store and date in your confirmation email.
- If you don't have a pre-order: your realistic shot is in-store on Friday 13 November, and only at a store that actually receives stock. Online pre-orders everywhere except Big W are gone.
- Plan to arrive well before opening: given how thin stock is expected to be relative to demand, queues forming hours ahead of opening (or overnight at 24-hour/midnight-trading locations) are realistic for this release.
- Check Big W specifically: it's the only major retailer that hasn't sold through an online allocation, which may mean its entire stock goes out the door in-store on release day.
- Call your local Myer this week: some stores have reportedly already received stock early. A quick phone call costs nothing.
- Favour regional and suburban stores over busy CBD locations if you have the choice; the queue-to-stock ratio is almost always friendlier away from the biggest shopping centres.
- Don't panic-buy on the secondary market if you miss out Friday. Flipped listings are priced highest in the first 48 hours and tend to settle down within a few weeks as more stock works through the system.
Release Day Strategy
Given how little stock is likely to reach shelves relative to demand, treat this release like you would any midnight-launch anniversary drop, not a routine restock.
- Arrive early, not on time. For a product this in-demand, "on time" usually means missing out. If a store near you trades 24 hours or allows midnight sales, that's realistically your earliest shot at physical stock in the country.
- Check opening hours the night before, not last week. Trading hours can shift around major releases.
- Ask staff about purchase limits before you queue, not after. Limits vary store to store and sometimes per family rather than per person; knowing the rule in advance avoids disappointment at the register.
- Respect whatever limit you're given. The whole point of a limit is to spread thin stock across more collectors; the more people respect it, the better this works out for everyone.
- Check the box before you pay. Look for crushed corners or tape that looks like it's been opened and resealed, especially if you're grabbing the last one on a shelf.
- Bring a backup plan. If your first stop is empty, a quieter regional or suburban store further from a major shopping centre is often a better second stop than another busy CBD location.
For live in-store inventory as it's reported, check our store inventory tracker, and for real-time restock pings the moment stock actually appears, set up CardTracker alerts, broken down by state, store and product so you're only pinged for what you actually want.
Day vs Night: Which One Will You Get?
You don't get to choose. Day and Night are assigned at random at the point of sale unless a retailer is explicitly selling them as separate, named listings (most Australian retailers aren't). The two versions are identical in every way that affects pull value: same 29 standard packs, same guaranteed Classic Collection pack, same RRP. The only differences are the featured promo (Espeon ex for Day, Umbreon ex for Night) and matching cosmetic theming across the playmat, coin and sleeves.
If you specifically want both promos, you need to buy two boxes (or a case), since nothing bundles Day and Night together. Full breakdown, including how the UPC pairs with the matching Battle Deck, in our Day vs Night comparison guide.
If You Miss Out
With demand this high, plenty of genuine collectors are going to miss out on release day, and that's worth planning for rather than panicking over.
- Don't overpay on eBay or Facebook Marketplace immediately. Secondary market prices on a hyped product are almost always highest in the first 48 hours after release and tend to ease as more stock reaches the market. Check real AU sold prices on CardTracker's market data before paying a premium.
- Keep watching for restocks. Major retailers do top up high-demand products after launch day; our store inventory tracker and restock alerts are built specifically for catching those windows before most people hear about them.
- Try independent card stores. They carry their own separate allocation on a different schedule to the big-box chains, and are often less chaotic than a major retailer on release morning. See our state-by-state retailer directory for options near you.
- Watch Big W specifically in the days after the 13th. If the rumour about an in-store-only release holds, a delayed or secondary allocation wouldn't be unusual for this retailer on a product this scarce.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I buy the Pokemon 30th Celebration Ultra Premium Collection in Australia?
As of 7 November 2026, online pre-orders are sold out at Kmart, Target, EB Games, JB Hi-Fi and Toymate. Big W has not opened an online pre-order and may release its stock in-store only. Some Myer stores have reportedly received early stock. Your best remaining options are in-store release day stock on 13 November, specialty retailers at above-RRP pricing, or waiting for a restock.
When does the Ultra Premium Collection release in Australia?
Friday, 13 November 2026. It was originally scheduled for 6 November but was delayed due to a supplier and distribution issue affecting several 30th Celebration Wave 4 products.
How much does the 30th Celebration UPC cost in Australia?
Expected AU RRP is around $360 AUD, confirmed by Kmart's brief September pre-order window. EB Games priced its pre-orders higher, around $465 AUD, and some specialty and import sellers have listed it well above that again.
Is the Ultra Premium Collection sold out in Australia?
Online, yes, almost everywhere. Kmart, Target, EB Games, JB Hi-Fi and Toymate have all sold through their online pre-order allocations. Big W has not opened an online pre-order at all, so in-store stock there and at every other retailer on 13 November is the main remaining opportunity, alongside specialty retailers still carrying stock above RRP.
What's the difference between the Day and Night Ultra Premium Collection?
The pull value is identical. The only differences are the featured promo (Espeon ex for Day, Umbreon ex for Night) and matching playmat, coin and sleeve theming. You cannot choose which version you get; it's assigned at random when you buy.
What's inside the Ultra Premium Collection?
29 standard 30th Celebration booster packs, 1 Classic Collection booster pack, a foil Pikachu ex promo, a foil Espeon ex or Umbreon ex promo, a themed playmat, 65 sleeves, a deck box, a metal coin, 6 damage-counter dice, and a Pokemon TCG Live code card.
Will Big W sell the Ultra Premium Collection online?
Unclear as of this update. Big W is the only major Australian retailer that has not opened an online pre-order for this product, and unconfirmed reports suggest it may release its entire allocation in-store instead on 13 November. Treat this as a rumour until Big W confirms it either way.
Has Myer started selling the Ultra Premium Collection early?
We're seeing reports that some Myer stores have received physical stock ahead of the official 13 November date, and Myer has jumped the gun on other 30th Celebration products before. It's not confirmed sitewide, so call your local store to check before making a special trip.
What should I do if I miss out on release day?
Set up restock alerts and check the store inventory tracker for later restocks, try independent card stores (which carry a separate allocation), and avoid paying a secondary-market premium in the first 48 hours, when flipped prices are typically at their highest.
Pre-order and in-store stock status can change quickly in the lead-up to a release this high-demand. This guide reflects the picture as of 7 November 2026; check live cross-retailer stock for the latest before making a special trip.
