What Day and Night Share
Every component that affects pull value is shared across both versions:
- 29 standard booster packs, each containing five foil cards plus one foil Basic Energy
- 1 Classic Collection booster pack with three cards from the set's Classic Collection
- 65 card sleeves and a deck box
- 6 damage-counter dice
- A code card for Pokemon TCG Live
The booster packs inside Day and Night are drawn from the same ~150-card all-foil set. Every pack includes one of 30 unique Pikachu cards, each illustrated by a different artist. Your odds of pulling a Futuristic Rare, a classic reprint, or any other chase card are the same regardless of which box you open.
Neither version has an edge on pulls.

There are two different box types: a day-themed set featuring Espeon ex and a night-themed set featuring Umbreon ex. Each UPC includes a Pikachu ex promo illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN, the Japanese artist behind the set's new Futuristic Rare rarity. The Day version features a daytime scene, the Night version a nighttime scene. Everything else in the table is cosmetic: playmat, coin design, sleeve art.
The Classic Collection Pack
This is the headline inclusion for both UPCs, and it works the same way in each.
The Classic Collection booster pack contains three cards from the set's Classic Collection. This marks the first time an English set is seeing the release of this type of booster pack. The Classic Collection spans 30 reprints from across the game's history, including the famous classic Charizard by original artist Mitsuhiro Arita. Each reprint carries a "30" Pikachu stamp and special foil treatment. They are not legal for Standard format play.
The Classic Collection pack is described as your only guaranteed shot at these vintage throwbacks, since Classic Collection cards are among the rarest chases in the set. That guaranteed access is shared equally between Day and Night.
What the 29 Standard Packs Contain
Each standard booster follows the set's all-foil 6-card structure: five foil cards and one foil Basic Energy. No non-holo pulls exist in 30th Celebration. The entire set is foil.
One slot in every pack is reserved for one of the 30 unique Pikachu cards. With 29 packs in the UPC, you are guaranteed 29 Pikachu pulls, though duplicates are possible across 30 designs.
The chase cards to watch:
- Futuristic Rares, the new rarity featuring vibrant artwork by YOSHIROTTEN. No pull rates have been announced for this rarity.
- Classic Collection reprints, the 30 stamped cards from across the game's history.

Release Timeline and Australian Pricing
The 30th Celebration set releases worldwide on September 16. The UPC does not arrive on day one. It launches in a later wave, well after the main set. Choose Day if you prefer Espeon ex as your featured promo and want the daytime YOSHIROTTEN Pikachu ex. The Day UPC also pairs naturally with the Espeon ex Battle Deck, an all-foil 60-card ready-to-play deck that includes an illustration rare-style Victini.
Choose Night if Umbreon ex is your pick. The Night UPC pairs with the Umbreon ex Battle Deck, which includes an illustration rare-style Zeraora instead of Victini.
