Most specialist stores sold out of Ascended Heroes within weeks of its April 24, 2026 release. Five months later, every mass-market retailer in Australia has sold through their allocation. Sealed product is now secondary market only, where prices range from reasonable to absurd depending on where you look.

This is a practical breakdown of what is actually available right now, what it costs, and where to find restocks when they happen.

What Is Ascended Heroes?

Ascended Heroes (set code ME2.5) is the third expansion in the Mega Evolution series. The expansion order runs: Mega (base set), Phantasmal Flames, Perfect Order, then Chaos Rising. Ascended Heroes sits between Phantasmal Flames and Perfect Order.

The set features over 290 cards, headlined by Mega Dragonite ex, and includes Mega Evolution Pokemon ex, Trainer's Pokemon, Stellar Tera Pokemon ex, and Mega Attack Rare cards.

Why Ascended Heroes Is So Popular

Three things drove demand for this set beyond what most Mega Evolution releases have seen.

First, the chase cards. Mega Dragonite ex MAR (271/217) is the set's flagship pull, currently trading at roughly $82 AUD on the secondary market. The special artwork cards in this set, including Illustration Rares and Special Art Rares, feature some of the strongest designs in the entire Mega Evolution block. Collectors who missed Phantasmal Flames learned to buy early this time around.

Second, the mechanics. Ascended Heroes brought back Mega Evolution Pokemon ex alongside Stellar Tera Pokemon ex, creating a crossover between two popular card types. That dual appeal drew in both collectors chasing art and players building decks.

Third, the set size. With over 290 cards, the pull variety kept pack openings interesting. Every booster bundle had a reasonable shot at something worth keeping, which made sealed product fly off shelves faster than most sets in the block.

Pricing varied by retailer. Kmart and JB Hi-Fi offered the lowest launch prices at $54, while Target sat slightly higher at $55. Big W, Toyworld, and Toymate charged $59, and EB Games was the most expensive of the mass-market chains at $60.

Kmart had the Booster Bundle at $54 AUD with Australia-wide delivery and was one of the last mass-market retailers to carry stock. That listing has now sold through.

JB Hi-Fi carried Ascended Heroes booster bundles at $54 AUD at launch but has since delisted the product entirely. Their product pages now return 404.

Target carried the Booster Bundle at $55 AUD. Stock has since sold through entirely.

Big W no longer carries Ascended Heroes as shelf stock. Their launch price was $59 AUD. The only listing on their site is an online-only marketplace listing from a third-party seller at an inflated per-pack price, which is not comparable to genuine retail stock.

Toyworld has sold through their Ascended Heroes allocation entirely. Launch price was $59 AUD.

Toymate had pre-orders available earlier in the year at $59 AUD. Stock has since sold through. Contact your local store directly to check for any remaining units.

EB Games stocked Ascended Heroes across their store network on release day at $60 AUD but has since sold through. Worth checking in-store if you have a local EB, as individual stores occasionally hold leftover stock that does not show online.

Where to Buy: Online Marketplaces

With retail stock gone, eBay and Amazon Australia are the remaining options for sealed product, but expect to pay well above retail.

Amazon Australia lists the Booster Bundle at $199 AUD via third-party seller Good Deals Games. That is nearly four times the retail price for the same product. Unless a restock lands, there is no retail-price alternative.

eBay is where the secondary market lives for both sealed product and singles. The Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box, which was never widely available in Australia, trades at around $681 AUD on the secondary market. The Mega Dragonite MAR (271/217), the set's flagship chase card, sits at roughly $82 AUD market price.

Where to Buy: Specialist TCG Stores

If you were hoping to pick up an ETB or Booster Bundle from a specialist retailer, the window has closed for most of them.

Click and Collectables had the full Ascended Heroes range at launch: Booster Bundle, Elite Trainer Box, Mini Tin, Premium Poster Collection, First Partners Deluxe Pin Collection, and Mega EX Box. Every product is now sold out.

Kollecter.com.au is in the same position. Their Ascended Heroes Mini Tins are sold out.

On release day, stock was available at Big W stores (the Blacktown location had a smooth launch day), across the Good Games network in Perth (Cannington, Morley, Joondalup), and at dedicated TCG shops like Quick Draw Cards in Joondalup. Other specialist stores that stocked on launch include The Gamesmen, PokeBox Australia, and ACE Collectibles. All of these are worth contacting for remaining stock, though most have likely sold through by now.

What About the Focused Fighters Collection?

The Ascended Heroes Focused Fighters Collection recently released in the United States. This is a special collection box that includes Ascended Heroes booster packs alongside exclusive promo cards and accessories.

There is currently no evidence of an Australian allocation for the Focused Fighters Collection. It has not appeared on any Australian retailer website, and no local distributor has announced pre-orders or stock. This is not unusual for specialty collection boxes, which sometimes receive limited or delayed international distribution.

Will Ascended Heroes Be Restocked?
