Pokemon Mega Sets: The Mega Evolution Release Calendar for Australian Collectors
Perfect Order (ME03) released in Australia on 27 March 2026, so the question there is what to pay rather than when it lands.
Contents
Mega Evolution is back on two fronts at once, and the reason is simple: Pokémon is officially entering its nostalgia era, and Mega Evolution is a fan-favorite mechanic that had been sidelined for years. In the video games, Pokémon Legends: Z-A brings the mechanic back in 2026, set entirely inside Lumiose City, with the old battle rule intact: one Mega Evolution per battle. In the TCG, the era has been running since September 2025, and the next pokemon mega set for Australia already has a date on the calendar.
This guide works through the Mega sets with confirmed dates and products, the ones you can buy, preorder or wait for, rather than every Mega name doing the rounds. It covers what is on Australian shelves now, what is in preorder, what Japan has queued, and how to be in front of the next drop.
The Mega Evolution era so far
Five English sets have landed, from the original September 2025 launch through to Chaos Rising in May 2026, and more than 30 individual Mega Evolution Pokémon ex have made their English debut across them. CardDeckr's ranking of the era's Mega ex cards calls Mega Lucario ex, from that original set, the most competitively impactful card of the entire era. The mechanics back the call: Aura Jab deals 130 damage for a single Fighting Energy while attaching three Basic Fighting Energy from the discard pile to Benched Pokémon.
Perfect Order: the Mega set on Australian shelves now
Perfect Order (ME03) released in Australia on 27 March 2026, so the question there is what to pay rather than when it lands.
The expansion runs to over 120 cards, with over 25 trainer cards and more than 30 carrying special illustrations. Mega Zygarde ex, Mega Clefable ex and Mega Starmie ex are the headliners. A booster pack holds 10 cards, and a booster box holds 36 of them, each pack carrying 10 cards, 1 Basic Energy and a Pokémon TCG Live code card.
The Elite Trainer Box is the collector format: 9 booster packs, a Full Art Foil promotional card featuring Tyrunt, 65 card cases, 40 Energy cards, a player guide for the expansion, 6 damage counters, 6 dividers and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live.
As for availability, Kmart lists the single booster pack, the ETB's Amazon.com.au listing shows no featured offer available at the moment, with 4.6 stars from 207 ratings, and US Sports Cards Australia asks $260.00 AUD for a booster box. Treat that last figure as one seller's asking price on one day, not a verdict on what the box is worth.
Delta Reign: the next Australian preorder
The next Mega set in Australian listings is Delta Reign. Flinch Collectibles lists the Delta Reign booster box, Elite Trainer Box and Booster Bundle as preorders, all three already showing sold out, with the Elite Trainer Box carrying a 6 November 2026 release date. The same store's Mega Evolution range runs from booster boxes and booster bundles to blisters and prerelease product.
The preorder pattern to expect is the usual one: EB Games typically opens the most structured preorder programme, with specialist stores close behind, while the major chains such as Kmart, BIG W and Target tend to list closer to release day. And the window is short, because preorders for a major set can sell through in minutes.
What is queued in Japan
MEGA x MEGA Parade releases in Japan on Friday 19 February, a High Class Pack set featuring Mega Raichu X and Mega Raichu Y, both of which debuted in Mega Dimension. The premium format shows in the pack itself: 550 yen a booster instead of the usual 200, with 10 cards in each. Those are Japanese prices, not a guide to what the equivalent costs here.

Two more Mega sets follow. Mega Darkrai ex arrives in Japan with Abyss Eye on 22 May 2026, with the English release still to come. Storm Emerald brings Mega Rayquaza ex to English in the second half of 2026, a card CardDeckr's ranking calls the most anticipated of that stretch.
Pay the Australian price, not the converted one
US prices do not translate directly, and the reasons sit under every Australian figure: shipping costs, currency conversion and regional supply disparities. So the number to check before paying anything is the Australian market price, built from local sold and active listing data rather than a converted US figure, with per-card pricing, recent movement and the cheapest live listings for each tracked set.
For anyone weighing a sealed product against the singles inside it, the inputs are the same. Elite trainer boxes get dedicated market tracking, with historical charts and real-time inventory pings for timing a sealed buy. The platform's guides cover pull rates for the latest expansions and the long-term potential of specific sealed products, and the Market API serves the same market as data: historical prices, current summaries and landed cost calculations.
How to be in front of the next Mega drop
Availability at a large retailer can change within minutes, so hand-refreshing listing pages is a losing game. We monitor 56 Australian retailers, the major chains such as Kmart, BIG W, Target, JB Hi-Fi, EB Games and Amazon, plus a long tail of Australian TCG specialist stores, alongside eBay Australia. Monitoring runs continuously, and the moment a tracked retailer changes stock, price or preorder status, an alert goes out with a direct link to buy, to Discord, Telegram and WhatsApp straight away rather than batched into a daily digest. You can set up free alerts and let the monitoring do the refreshing: the core restock and price alerts cost nothing, and a paid Premium community adds faster, more finely filtered alerts.
eBay is scanned too. The tracker watches for underpriced Buy It Now listings and undervalued auctions ending soon, across everything from high-end PSA graded slabs to raw binder copies. Seller Deals finds sellers holding several below-market items at once, so multiple pickups can consolidate into one shipment instead of paying shipping twice.
One definition before acting on any stock figure: in stock means the product was confirmed available at that retailer within the last 7 days, and availability at a large retailer can change within minutes, so always confirm on the retailer's own page.
Before you click through
CardTracker is an affiliate publisher: it does not manufacture, sell, hold inventory of or ship any physical product itself, and any purchase made after clicking a link from the site is completed directly with the third-party retailer or marketplace seller. Prices, stock levels and market valuations come from third-party retailers and marketplaces and can change or be withdrawn at any time, so verify on the retailer's own page before purchasing. On eBay purchases, returns and disputes run under the eBay Money Back Guarantee and the individual seller's own return policy.
