Ascended Heroes Chase Cards and Current Prices
Ranked list of Ascended Heroes chase cards with current ungraded and PSA 10 prices. Mega Hyper Rares, SIRs, Mega Attack Rares, and sealed product values.
Ascended Heroes is the largest English Pokémon TCG set ever printed at 295 cards, and its chase market has settled into three tiers that price very differently on the secondary market. Two gold-etched Mega Hyper Rares sit behind 1-in-540 pack odds. Below them, a cluster of Special Illustration Rares ranges from $170 to over $1,200. And between those tiers, a brand-new rarity called Mega Attack Rares occupies its own price band.
Knowing which tier a card belongs to, and what the graded ceiling looks like above raw prices, is the difference between a smart pickup and an overpay. This is the full breakdown.
What Is Ascended Heroes?
The set released on January 30, 2026, drawing primarily from Japan's MEGA Dream ex (released November 28, 2025) and Start Deck 100 Battle Collection (released December 19, 2025). It contains 217 cards in its main set and 78 secret rares. The previous record holder was Fusion Strike from 2021 at 284 cards.
Ascended Heroes is a special set. Individual packs are not sold separately, only in boxed products, with those products releasing in stages throughout the year. That staggered rollout keeps supply uneven, which matters when you are tracking prices on any given card.
Mega Attack Rares and Mega Hyper Rares: Two New Rarities
Ascended Heroes introduced two brand-new rarities to the English TCG.
Mega Attack Rares feature a Mega Pokémon performing a signature attack, rendered in comic-book style with the move name written across the card. Japanese cards have the attack written in English; English cards flip it to Japanese. There are seven Mega Attack Rares in the set plus two promo-style versions for Mega Lucario and Mega Gardevoir. In Japan's MEGA Dream ex, Mega Attack Rares fell somewhere between Illustration Rares and Special Illustration Rares in scarcity and price.
Mega Hyper Rares are the real ceiling. Only two exist in the set, each with a pull rate of approximately 1 in 540 packs. They feature a monochrome golden finish where the Pokémon is barely visible through the gleam, with only expressive details like Dragonite's eyes cutting through the design.
Both rarities appear in god packs, which contain three Mega Attack Rares and seven Special Illustration Rares.
The Reverse Holo Chase
Each non-ex Pokémon in Ascended Heroes comes in two reverse holo variants: an Energy-type reverse holo and a specific Poké Ball reverse holo. Team Rocket's Pokémon get an "R" reverse holo instead of the Poké Ball. The Poké Balls are specifically assigned to each Pokémon (all Wurmple are printed with Love Balls, for example), and the variants include Poké Balls, Love Balls, Friend Balls, Quick Balls, and Dusk Balls.
Three reverse holos to watch: Frosmoth, Solrock, and Lunatone. Frosmoth's Alluring Wings Ability synergises with Mega Froslass ex, while Solrock and Lunatone form an engine that could power multiple decks once Standard rotation removes Gardevoir ex. Tournament results could spike these unexpectedly.
Top 10 Ascended Heroes Chase Cards and Current Prices
Prices below are current ungraded market values from PriceCharting.

| 2 | Mega Gengar ex | #284/217 | SIR | ~$1,245 |
| 3 | Mega Dragonite ex | #290/217 | SIR | ~$817 |
| 4 | Mega Charizard Y ex | #294/217 | Mega Hyper Rare | ~$555 |
| 5 | Pikachu ex | #277/217 | SIR | ~$452 |

| 9 | N's Zoroark ex | #286/217 | SIR | ~$180 |
| 10 | Mega Feraligatr ex | #274/217 | SIR | ~$170 |
Just outside the top 10, Steven's Metagross ex SIR #289 sits at ~$100 ungraded.
A few things stand out in this list.
Two Pikachu SIRs. The set contains two separate Pikachu ex Special Illustration Rares, and they price very differently. Card #276 at ~$1,284 sits near the top of the entire set, while #277 at ~$452 is still a strong pull but less than half the price. Knowing which number you are looking at on eBay matters.
Mega Gengar ex SIR belongs to Ascended Heroes, not Phantasmal Flames. This is one of the most common mix-ups in the Mega Evolution block. Phantasmal Flames only has Mega Gengar ex as a Double Rare. If you see a listing claiming a Phantasmal Flames SIR Gengar, walk away.
Lillie's Clefairy ex was illustrated by Naoki Saito, widely regarded as the standout trainer illustrator in the modern Pokémon TCG. The illustration shows Lillie embracing a smiling Clefairy ex. For collectors who track illustration rare cards, Saito's name on a card tends to hold long-term demand.
N's Zoroark ex SIR features both N and Zoroark centered within a circular border blending gothic and floral design elements. It is widely considered one of the cleaner compositions among the Ascended Heroes SIRs.
Mega Feraligatr ex received its own dedicated Mega ex Box as part of the staggered product rollout, keeping the card in the spotlight throughout the year.
Graded Ceiling: What PSA 10 Copies Are Worth
Raw prices tell half the story. For the top ascended heroes chase cards, PSA 10 copies command steep premiums.
| Card | Ungraded | PSA 10 | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mega Charizard Y ex (Mega Hyper Rare) | ~$555 | ~$3,240 | 5.8x |
| Pikachu ex #276 (SIR) | ~$1,284 | ~$2,900 | 2.3x |
| Mega Gengar ex (SIR) | ~$1,245 | ~$2,652 | 2.1x |
| Mega Dragonite ex #290 (SIR) | ~$817 | ~$1,969 | 2.4x |
| Mega Dragonite ex #295 (Mega Hyper Rare) | ~$309 | ~$1,775 | 5.7x |
| Pikachu ex #277 (SIR) | ~$452 | ~$1,376 | 3.0x |
| Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex (SIR) | ~$431 | ~$1,066 | 2.5x |
| Steven's Metagross ex (SIR) | ~$100 | ~$569 | 5.7x |
The Mega Hyper Rares show the highest graded multipliers. Mega Charizard Y ex jumps from $555 raw to $3,240 at PSA 10, a 5.8x increase. Mega Dragonite ex #295 follows the same pattern at 5.7x. That gold-etched monochrome finish is extremely sensitive to surface imperfections, and with only two Mega Hyper Rares in the entire 295-card set, PSA 10 supply is thin.
Steven's Metagross ex is the sleeper grading play. At ~$100 raw and ~$569 graded, the 5.7x multiplier rivals the Mega Hyper Rares on a much lower entry cost. If you are looking at cards to invest in, that spread is worth noting.
Sealed Product Prices: ETB, PC ETB, and Booster Bundle
Sealed Ascended Heroes products have moved well above MSRP.
| Product | MSRP | Current Price | Premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elite Trainer Box (9 packs) | $49.99 | ~$166 | 3.3x |
| Pokémon Center ETB (11 packs) | $59.99 | ~$479 | 8.0x |
| Booster Bundle | — | ~$85 | — |
The Pokémon Center ETB is the standout. It includes 11 packs and two illustration rare-style promo cards featuring N's Zekrom (one with a Pokémon Center stamp), and its 8x premium over MSRP reflects both the exclusive promos and the limited retail availability of PC products in Australia. Both ETBs released on February 20, 2026.
With Ascended Heroes products releasing in stages throughout the year, sealed prices shift as new boxed products enter the market. The high concentration of premium rarities across 78 secret rares keeps sealed product attractive to collectors chasing specific pulls.
