Pokemon Card Shows Australia 2026: Every Date, and How to Trade at One
The big 2026 fixtures that have already run give you the shape of the year.
Contents
If you have been searching Pokemon card shows Australia 2026, the short answer is yes, and not just one kind: dedicated card-only expos, recurring hotel shows that run every few weeks, and pop-culture conventions with a genuine trading card floor. This calendar runs through the 2026 dates still ahead, the big fixtures that have already run, what is locked in for 2027, and the two things that decide whether a show is worth the trip: what you bring and how you price your trades.
Card shows in Sydney
The Trading Card Summit at Sydney Showground ran Saturday 23 to Sunday 24 May 2026 with almost 5,000 square metres of the Exhibition Halls dedicated entirely to trading cards, billed as Australia's biggest trading card-only event of the year. Our conventions calendar carries the Trading Card Summit listing, hand-researched and linked straight back to each organiser's own page, and as of our last check no future Summit date was confirmed. Sydney's next dated options are a TCG show on Saturday 17 October 2026, $5 entry with kids under 12 free, and a CollectFest Sydney edition in the 2027 circuit.
The 2026 calendar
One warning that applies to every date below: organisers reschedule, relocate and cancel shows after their first announcement, so confirm with the organiser's own listing before you plan travel around any of them.
The big 2026 fixtures that have already run give you the shape of the year. Supanova carried card floors on the Gold Coast, in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth between April and June, and TCXPO ran Oran Park in June and August.
Still ahead:
- Hunters Card Show, Brisbane, Saturday 17 October. 13 vendors, entry A$15 with kids 12 and under free.
- Sydney TCG show, Saturday 17 October. $5 at the door, kids under 12 free.
- Brisbane Trading Card Show, Brisbane Showgrounds, Sunday 18 October, 9am to 6pm. Trading Card Show Australia has run dedicated card-only events since 2022, and this one spans sports cards and TCGs including Pokemon, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana and Dragon Ball, with vendors who handle grading submissions to PSA, BGS and CGC. The organiser promises over 300 square metres of tables for its last Brisbane event of the year.
- Supanova Adelaide, 30 October to 1 November, and Supanova Brisbane, 6 to 8 November. These are pop-culture conventions rather than card-only shows, but dedicated TCG and trading card vendors now occupy a substantial section of the floor at every Supanova event.
- OCC Melbourne Xmas Edition, 5 to 6 December.
- TCXPO, Oran Park Leisure Centre, 6 December. The dedicated trading card expo: 180 to 200-plus vendor tables across sports cards and TCGs including Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, MTG, Disney Lorcana, One Piece and Digimon, with on-site grading submissions and accessory vendors. Tiered entry: $25 early bird from 9:30am, $15 general from 10:30am, $10 from 12:30pm.
- Big Boyz Card Shows, Sydney. Less a date than a rhythm: the flagship at the Hudson Hotel in Seven Hills runs roughly every 4 to 6 weeks, packing 140-plus vendor tables into a single hall. Entry is $5 at the door with under-12s free, and shows run roughly 9am to 4 or 5pm. TCG Store Finder's guide calls the Seven Hills rounds one of the best environments in Australia for buying singles below retail, because that many tables in one hall forces real price competition.
- Trading Card SUMMIT Melbourne. On the organiser's 2026 calendar with no date stated at our last check, so check the organiser's own site before planning around it. They bill it as their biggest event yet.

How to trade at a card show
Arriving without prices is one of the most common vendor mistakes. Before you pack a single card, photograph everything front and back and record the card, set, grade and the price you want. Price from what buyers have actually paid rather than what sellers ask: check recent sold listings for each card, and for graded cards lean on recent auction results. Build in a small margin for negotiation, because most show buyers expect it, but decide your floor before you sit down. If you are bringing cards to swap rather than sell, pick the ones worth more to someone else than to you, and know their market value so you negotiate from knowledge.
Then put an Australian number on all of it before you leave the house. Our Market prices pages are built for exactly this: a genuine Australian market value per card and per sealed product, calculated from local sold and active listing data rather than converted US prices. For a binder-style lot, the method is the same: look up the market price of every card you can identify, add them up, and treat the rest as bulk worth a few cents a card at best. An offer below the number you walked in with has to explain itself.
What to bring to a card show
Protection first: GOATcase calls a card show one of the highest-risk environments your collection will ever be in, crowded and full of handling, and for graded slabs advises a purpose-built case with a secure closure and a precise fit. For sleeves and binders, we recommend Palms Off, an Australian TCG accessories brand. Pack spare sleeves and top loaders for cards that need rehousing during the day, plus small zip-lock bags for bundling purchases. Bring change in small denominations for cash sales, a phone payment option, since most buyers expect one, and a loupe or magnifier for condition disputes. And leave space in your bag: one of the most common collector mistakes is arriving with a completely full setup and nowhere to put what you buy.
How CardTracker helps you walk in knowing the price
Our Trading Card Summit listing sits on the same conventions calendar, hand-researched and linked straight back to each organiser's own page, so the confirm-before-you-travel check is one click. Our Market prices pages calculate a genuine Australian market value per card and per sealed product from local sold and active listing data rather than converted US prices, across 146 tracked sets with per-card pricing, recent movement and the cheapest live listings. Using the market prices costs nothing. On this guide's checklist, our Market prices meet the pricing criteria: a genuine Australian figure per card built from local sold and active listing data rather than converted US prices, and a market value for each trade card before you negotiate.
Before you pack for the next show, price what you are bringing, and our guide to evaluating Pokemon card lots before you bid runs the identify, add up and treat-the-rest-as-bulk method end to end.
