What Changed: Pack Configurations Across Eras
The biggest structural change in the Fusion World product line happened between the early sets and the later ones. Every set from FB01 Awakened Pulse through FB05 New Adventure shipped with 6 cards per booster pack. FB09 Dual Evolution and later sets ship with 12 cards per pack. Somewhere between FB05 and FB09, the pack size doubled.
The per-pack price moved in parallel. FB01 through FB05 carried a $4.49 USD MSRP. FB06 onward went to $4.99. Manga Boosters entered at $5.99.
The later boxes deliver roughly twice the cards per pack for roughly the same money, but the earlier boxes have the scarcity factor that sealed collectors prize.
FB01 established the baseline rarity structure: 8 Leaders, 52 Commons, 36 Uncommons, 30 Rares, 12 Super Rares, and 2 Secret Rares, with 23 alternate art cards spread across the set. Later main sets kept this general architecture. FB09 introduced an entirely new tier: Super Alt-Art Leader cards, which feature a "dazzlingly radiant golden background" on the awakened side.
The Chase Cards: What You Are Actually Pulling For
The most valuable Fusion World card on the market is not in any booster box. It is the Son Goku FP-001, a serial-numbered promo with only 777 copies in existence.

The FB09 Dual Evolution set reshuffled the high end with Gogeta cards dominating the price charts. Its top card, Gogeta:GT Super Alternate Art (FB09-123), averages $2,000 on the market. The Gogeta:BR Super Alt-Art Leader (FB09-001) sits at $1,700, and the Gogeta:BR Super Alt-Art SCR (FB09-121) at $1,650. A fourth Gogeta Super Alt-Art (FB09-122), representing the Fusion Reborn movie version, also commands $1,650.
FB09 is the Gogeta set. All three SCRs are Gogeta variants: Gogeta:BR, Gogeta, and Gogeta:GT, each with a Super Alt-Art version.
Below the Super Alt-Art tier, FB09's standard Alt-Art cards range from $55 (Bulla:GT) to $230 (Gogeta:GT Alt-Art Leader), with Alt-Art SCRs at $105 to $140.
Graded copies of FB09 Super Alt-Arts command a 3x to 5x premium over raw Near Mint prices at PSA 10 or BGS Black Label. The foil patterns in this set are complex and prone to factory scuffs, which makes high-grade copies genuinely scarce.
Awakened Pulse (FB01): The First Edition Effect
FB01 Awakened Pulse launched Fusion World on February 16, 2024, with 140 card types, 6 cards per pack, and an MSRP of $4.49. The English version followed on June 26, 2024, roughly four months after the Japanese release.
The set contains 8 Leader cards, one of each color: Son Goku (Red), Beerus (Blue), Goku Black (Green), Trunks:Future (Green), Android 17 (Yellow), Son Gohan:Childhood (Yellow), Ginyu (Black), and Cooler (Black). The full rarity spread is 52 Commons, 36 Uncommons, 30 Rares, 12 Super Rares, 2 Secret Rares, and 23 Alt-Art cards.
The standout chase card is Son Gohan:Childhood FB01-140, which ranks #5 among all Fusion World cards on TCGplayer. The art captures the father-son Kamehameha moment from the manga.
On the secondary market, FB01 booster boxes show a wide spread. Untapped Games lists them at $89.95, while PriceCharting tracks the market price at $269.76. The gap between a retailer's last listed price and the aggregated market price signals the set is effectively out of print and supply is tightening.
A box bought at $89.95 roughly three years after a $4.49 MSRP represents meaningful appreciation from the per-box equivalent. For a set that is still legal in the current format and contains a top-5 chase card in the entire game, the premium is modest compared to what out-of-print TCG boxes have done over similar timeframes.
Dual Evolution (FB09): The Anniversary Set That Changed the Market
FB09 Dual Evolution released March 13, 2026, as the second-anniversary set with 123 card types, 12 cards per pack, and a $4.99 MSRP.
It introduced two new mechanics. Fusion Evolve lets you play Gogeta:BR on top of Son Goku:BR and Vegeta:BR and switch to Active Mode for 1 energy, recreating a fusion in-game. Ki places energy markers under cards that power abilities and awaken conditions. The Gogeta:GT Leader can awaken either when life hits 4 or less, or when total Ki in the Battle Area reaches 2 or more, and gains +10,000 power when Ki is 3 or above during your turn.
The set includes five Leader cards: Gogeta:BR, Son Goku, Son Gohan:SH, Son Goku/Vegeta, and Gogeta:GT. The Gogeta:BR Leader awakens at 5 life or less and can KO opponent Battle Cards totaling 15,000 power or less once per turn if a Fusion Evolve card is in play.
FB09 booster boxes currently sit at $449.98 on TCGplayer. That is the strongest secondary market price of any main booster set, reflecting the concentration of high-value chase cards and the pull rates that the market has priced in.
Manga Boosters: The Premium Tier
Manga Booster 01 (SB01) released June 27, 2025, and Manga Booster 02 (SB02) followed on November 14, 2025, both at $5.99 per pack. They are the most expensive per-pack Fusion World products.
These sets sit outside the standard FB numbering and focus on manga-style artwork with exclusive alternate art treatments. The secondary market has priced them accordingly. SB01 booster boxes trade at $1,589.99 on TCGplayer.
Both sets placed cards in the overall top 10: Son Goku SB01-023 Super Alternate Art at #7, and Piccolo SB02-043 Super Alternate Art at #3. The Piccolo card features the driving test scene with Goku, a slice-of-life moment that has become one of the most sought-after pieces of Fusion World art.
